Branded Media Corporation (PINK SHEETS: BMCP) announced today that Michael S. Scofield has joined its Board of Directors.
Mike Scofield currently holds the position of Chairman of the Board of the Evergreen Funds, one of America's 20 largest mutual fund families. Scofield's oversight of the funds started in 1984 while he was practicing law at Charlotte, NC-based Wardlow, Knox, Freeman & Scofield when the fund group only had one fund. Today Mr. Scofield oversees 90 funds with more than $110 billion in assets under management.
Scofield graduated from North Carolina State in 1965 with a BA and earned his law degree from the Duke University School of Law in 1968. After graduating from law school, he taught pre-law classes at the University of North Carolina at Ashville from 1968 through 1970. After his tenure in the US Attorney General's office as a federal prosecutor, he entered private practice in 1979.
