CLEVELAND, June 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- National City Corporation (NYSE: NCC) today announced that it intends to commence an agency review and begin search for a new advertising agency of record.

Detroit, Mich.-based Campbell-Ewald has served as National City's advertising agency of record since 2003, helping launch major campaigns such as the "Simple" campaign, "points from National City" and the company's current Free Checking initiative. Campbell-Ewald will participate in the review process.
The new agency of record will be responsible for all brand and retail bank marketing and advertising assignments including strategic planning, creative strategy development and execution, media planning and buying, and merchandising. Criteria for agency candidates include those with sufficient size and resources necessary to support the National City account plus proximity near or within the National City Midwest geographic footprint.
Select Resources International, a nationally recognized agency search firm, will facilitate the agency review. A decision is expected in September.
