As television operators and networks continue to advance new digital features, SeaChange's (Nasdaq: SEAC) Digital Television Tour continues to support their efforts with various stops across North America.

Recently, SeaChange's Digital Television Truck provided center stage for events around Comcast's Chicago cable system. Local press, community leaders, area students and Comcast employees gathered to learn more about the growing availability of Comcast ON DEMAND and experience first-hand its convenience and breadth of content.

"Over the last 20 months, Comcast's $347 million digital network upgrade has revolutionized television choices for Chicago customers," said Patricia Andrews-Keenan, vice president of communications, Comcast Greater Chicago Region. "We're making television a very personal experience where viewers can enjoy programs or movies on their own schedule. ON DEMAND, together with new High-Definition programming and Comcast High-Speed Internet, is enhancing our customers' lifestyles with convenience and selection that no other provider can match."

With SeaChange servers and software, Comcast is bringing "personal television" options to 1.7 million homes in Chicago, the nation's third-largest television market. Comcast ON DEMAND is currently available in over 20 Chicago communities and is slated to debut in further locations through the end of this year. ON DEMAND offers over 1,200 hours of content, appealing to individual viewers with hundreds of movies, content from premium networks like HBO and Showtime and free ON DEMAND programming from dozens of popular cable networks.

Recently SeaChange's tour continued through the Southeastern U.S. for a series of events in support of networks and local broadcasters, among others in the business of television. Further events for Comcast Chicago and others for Comcast in the West are on the current tour itinerary.

"The goal of the tour is to engage people at every level to help them understand the benefits of the new advancements in television, from consumers to decision makers in programming, advertising and distribution," said James Kelso, vice president/general manager, broadband systems, SeaChange. "Thousands of consumers have experienced this comprehensive rolling showcase of widely deployed personal television applications, as well as emerging ones like DVD-on-demand and High-Definition VOD."
