ExpoTV and Charter Communications Partner to Bring Local User-Generated Video to Television

Business Wire

ExpoTV, the first and largest video-based social commerce network, and Charter Communications, the third largest cable operator in the country, announced today that they will be launching a user-generated video Beat the Heat! summer contest. Videos submitted online at www.ExpoTV.com will be featured on Charter OnDemand in the greater St. Louis area. Starting Thursday, July 26th, residents in the St. Louis area will be asked to submit VideopinionsSM Reviews, showcasing their favorite products that help them beat the red-hot summer heat. Charter Communications digital customers will be able to access the videos 24/7 through Charter's iWant More! OnDemand destination on Channel 999. All video submissions will be available in a new Beat the Heat category as well as on ExpoTV's OnDemand network.

"Charter Communications and ExpoTV have combined forces with our enthusiastic video creators to celebrate their user-generated videos on television," said Daphne Kwon, CEO of ExpoTV.com. "Great content like our members' authentic product reviews should live everywhere people are watching video. We don't believe that user-generated video should only be confined to the Internet. As a leader in the industry, Charter continues to offer a family-friendly, interactive cable television experience with the Beat the Heat contest."

ExpoTV and Charter Communications are inviting all of St. Louis to submit Videopinions reviews of their favorite products that help them to beat the heat this summer. Whether it is their favorite brand of sorbet, a relaxing pool float, or a drop-top convertible, all product reviews are welcome. From July 26th until September 3rd all of the sizzling St. Louis residents will be able to submit their Videopinions reviews to www.ExpoTV.com. All approved reviews will be featured on Charter OnDemand, published on www.ExpoTV.com, and considered for the grand prize: a chance to win a brand new Panasonic PV-G320 wide-screen camcorder and Power Director 5 video editing software, a prize package valued at $500. The grand prize winner will be announced mid September.
