Following a soft first quarter by the prior ownership and temporary management, Ronco Acquisition Corporation today announced a healthy six figure profit for the 2nd quarter, ending June 30, 2008. Television and retail sales were boosted this spring by Ronco's patented Food Dehydrator, Showtime Rotisseries, Six Star Knife sets and iconic Pocket Fisherman. Ronco CEO and President Larry Nusbaum states, "In spite of a weak economy and challenging retail environment, consumer demand remains high for our unique media promoted brand."

In preparation for a strong back half, Ronco is generating additional retail distribution, international growth and added media programs. There will also be specific in store support to drive velocity and sell through for Ronco's four primary lines: Showtime Rotisserie, Food Dehydrator, Chef N' Go, Six Star Knife sets.
