New Cable Network Dedicated to Law Shows

NBC Universal's new cable network, Sleuth, will be exactly what it sounds like -- a channel all about cops and robbers, it was announced Thursday.

The channel will launch Jan. 1 with shows likeMiami Vice, Knight Rider, The Rockford Files and Dragnet, the Wall Street Journal reported Thursday.

Movies like Scarface and Casino will also be available via the Universal Studios library, the Journal said.

Time Warner cable systems has become the first to agree to add the network to its offerings.

Sleuth will include video-on-demand as well as high-definition versions, the Journal said.
