LONGVIEW, Texas, Nov. 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Summit Environmental Corporation, Inc. (BULLETIN BOARD: SEVT) announced Monday, November 7, 2005, the exceeding of $1,000,000 in sales for 2005 of the company's unique aerosol can fire extinguishers.
The company markets "twin sister" products Firepower(TM) and FlameOut(R) in both direct sales television shopping (QVC) and retail through Target, Brooks-Eckerd and CVS Pharmacies, Bed Bath & Beyond, Kitchen Collection, and Big 5 Sporting Goods.
Summit spent seven years developing its unique, one-of-a-kind product. Validation and listing as a portable fire extinguisher and proper classification according to USDOT guidelines as a consumer commodity ORM-D were among the time-consuming, mandatory necessities needed in order to create a product in a niche market.
Summit's marketing team is headed by Mr. Gary Bishop, managing general partner of Noble Mountain Tree Farms. "Gary's family has been dealing with retailers all over the country selling Christmas trees since the 1940s," states Keith Parker, CEO of Summit. "We are very fortunate to have the alliance that has been created between Gary and us."
The company has spent several years building a network in order to comply with the NFPA10 portable fire extinguisher standards and the USDOT Aerosol Non-Flammable classification for its products. Cans are made in Mexico, chemicals blended in Wisconsin, propellant shipped to an aerosol packaging company, artwork and design done in California, and packaging completed in Piqua, Ohio by Custom Aerosol.
BioGenesis Enterprises continues to blend the chemicals for Summit. Summit purchased the patents and intellectual property rights from BioGenesis in 1998.
"The balance of 2005 and first quarter of 2006 will see these products more visible with six new nationwide customers. Floor displays and end-cap product holders will showcase the products in visible locations in the stores," added Parker.
Summit will introduce several planned marketing support features via television in early 2006.
