CHICAGO, Dec. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- As the world prepares to honor Pope John Paul II through two made-for-TV movies, The Papal Collection by Michaelis(TM) features more than 40 different ornaments showcasing the Pope's love of his faith, people and prayer.
Kenneth-Michael Kaminski, noted for his religious and renaissance-style art blown-glass ornaments, has designed The Papal Collection to celebrate the life and pontificate of His Holiness, Pope John Paul II. "Each piece is truly a work of art, a historically accurate representation, hand-crafted and produced in Poland," said Kaminski.
The collection can be found at www.michaeliscollection.com . The ornaments are inspired and modeled from actual Vatican and personal photographs. Ornaments are then individually sculpted and glass-blown into the likeness of Pope John Paul II then hand-painted by skilled artisans. The designs feature the late Holy Father in different vestments and liturgical colors in various poses. Kaminski created the inaugural Papal Collection in 1999, and expanded the line to include Saints, Angels, Madonnas, Sistine Chapel Figures, Nativities and Renaissance Masters. All papal ornament designs are approved by the Vatican.
Each collectible comes with its own certificate of authenticity. The ornaments may be displayed on a Christmas tree, or on a stand for year-round enjoyment. These 'spiritually inspired glories' are a museum quality work of art, and are produced in limited quantities. They range in price from $30-$45.
