In 2000, a four year-old cancer patient named Alexandra "Alex" Scott announced a seemingly simple idea -- she was holding a lemonade stand to raise money to help "her doctors" find a cure for kids with cancer. She and her older brother set up a first stand on their front lawn in July 2000.

For the next four years, despite her deteriorating health, Alex ran a lemonade stand annually. Her story inspired thousands of children, schools, businesses, and organizations to do the same, all to benefit Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Pediatric Cancer. On August 1, 2004, Alex died peacefully after battling cancer for seven years. She was eight.

As of November, the campaign Alex started has raised over $5 million for pediatric cancer research.

The necklace is a beautiful stand-alone accessory or is complemented with a matching bracelet and/or earrings. The suggested retail prices for the bracelet and earrings are $95 and $45, respectively.
