Verdasys, Inc. and NextCom, a leading system integrator for Verdasys' Japanese distribution partner Mitsui Bussan Secure Direction (MSBD), today announced that QVC Japan has purchased for enterprise deployment Verdasys Digital Guardian, the world's most comprehensive global data security platform. QVC Japan will utilize Digital Guardian for the protection of private client data and also as a means of showing compliance with existing American, and imminent Japanese SOX requirements.
QVC is the largest 24 hour television shopping channel in the world, with QVC Japan alone reaching more than 14 million homes. With a client database containing personal and proprietary information on millions of consumers, Mr. Nobushige Ushizima, QVC Japan's Vice President, acknowledges that there is a critical need to protect this valuable data and eliminate the risk of leakage or loss.
