SPEED today announced David Harris as Manager, Media Relations for the Charlotte-based motor sports and automotive lifestyle network.
Harris, 32, comes to SPEED from Cox Group, where he managed media relations activities for DaimlerChrysler and Pedregon Racing's programs in the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA). Prior to his work at Cox, Harris worked for SFX/Cotter Group, where he worked on multiple motor sports media relations programs, including Lowe's Home Improvement with NASCAR driver Jimmie Johnson.
In his new role, Harris will serve as the chief liaison between SPEED and the multiple race series involved with the network. Harris will report to Erik Arneson, SPEED Director of Media Relations.
Harris and his wife, Christine, currently reside in Concord, N.C.
