Boston, June 19, 2006 -- Backchannelmedia announces that Clayton M. Christensen, an established expert in innovative technological business strategy and management, has been added to its Board of Advisors.
Specializing in generating and capitalizing on opportunities for new technology organizations, Christensen is a well-known and well-respected mind in the world of cutting edge business. He is the awarded author of many influential works such as The Innovator's Dilemma (1997 Global Business Book for Best Business Book), his articles published in the Harvard Business Review (1995 and 2001 McKinsey Awards), and his doctoral thesis on disk drive technology development (Best Dissertation Award from the Institute of Management Sciences). Co-founding Ceramics Process Systems Corporation (CPS) with fellow MIT professors, Christensen served as Chairman and President for this developer of high-technology metals early in his career.
After graduating the Harvard Business School with High Distinction, Christensen was also awarded his Doctor of Business Administration from the Harvard Business School (HBS). Christensen became an honored professor at HBS, teaching classes in Technology and Operations Management, General Management, and Operations Strategy. He has served as a board member for organizations such as the Program Review Board and Strategic Planning Committee of the Brigham and Women's Hospital, the Combined Health Appeal of Northeastern Massachusetts, and the Massachusetts Affiliate of the American Diabetes Associates, as well as maintaining an active role in his church. Currently, his books are translated into approximately 40 languages, and his live seminars sell-out throughout the world.
Backchannelmedia (www.backchannelmedia.com), located in Boston, was founded in March of 2000. The company provides DRTV expertise to new and established businesses so they get the most from TV ad campaigns. With this goal in mind, the company developed its own proprietary web software called S.T.A.R.S.
