Petry Media Corporation, a leader in the nation's $8 billion spot television advertising market, today announced that Christopher Dickens has been elected to the Company's Board of Directors, effective immediately.

Mr. Dickens' career spans over thirty years involvement in media at all levels and across all disciplines. He started with London Weekend Television from where he moved into the ad agency business with J. Walter Thompson. His first senior management post was at Leo Burnett, where he was Vice Chairman and Head of Media. From there he went to Young & Rubicam, initially as Deputy Chairman of Young and & Rubicam London, and then as Media Director of Y&R in New York.
In 1988, Mr. Dickens became Director of Sales and then Managing Director of Publishing for the UK's first digital broadcasting service, British Satellite Broadcasting. After two and a half years at BSB, Mr. Dickens was asked to return to Y&R to become World-Wide Media Director. He fulfilled this position for five years with great success, including a secondment to Y&R London as Group Chairman for eighteen months.
Mr. Dickens now heads a successful international media consulting business.
