Media Buyer Alert: Speed Channel Signs Veteran Siegel As Senior VP of Ad Sales

SPEED Channel has named Todd Siegel to the position of Senior Vice President of Ad Sales, where his responsibilities will include pricing and planning for the network as well as sales and sales management responsibilities.

"Todd's 20-plus years of media sales experience in growing ad sales from targeted brands to established networks will help take SPEED Channel's revenues to the next level," said SPEED Channel President Jim Liberatore. "Certainly, adding a person of Todd's caliber strengthens the SPEED executive team across the board."

Prior to joining SPEED, Siegel served as Executive Vice President for Screenvision, where he supervised the sale of cinema advertising to national advertisers. He also was responsible for developing and implementing measurement and research tools to illustrate the potency of the cinema advertising medium. Siegel served an important role in promoting and marketing the use of cinema advertising among major national accounts to build brand awareness and generate sales.

Prior to joining Screenvision, Siegel served as Vice President of National Advertising Sales for Discovery Communications. In his position, Siegel successfully built and implemented strategic sales plans for the company's businesses including Discovery Health, BBC America, Discovery Kids and Discovery Digital Networks.

Siegel also spent six years as Vice President of MTV Advertising Sales, where he supervised the sales team, managed ad sales and implemented program sponsorships, product placements and sweepstakes. In his early years before joining MTV, Siegel was Vice President of sales at NBC Cable where he helped double the advertising revenue at CNBC. In this position, he guided all marketing and programming efforts to represent the new channel.

Siegel holds a bachelor's degree in government from Lehigh University. He, his wife Jeanne, daughter Annie and son Michael reside in Manhattan.
