Nagoya, Japan August 8th, 2006 Oak Lawn Marketing (OLM) announces its purchase of the Vector Group, which includes Vector Direct Ltd. with operations in the UK and Ireland and Vector Versand with operations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The acquisition is a big step in OLM's international strategy and OLM plans to infuse the Vectors with the energies and best practices that have carried OLM to its great success in Japan. As a result of this acquisition, OLM now has 100 percent ownership and control of companies which operate in the three largest international DRTV markets.
OLM president Harry Hill explains, "This acquisition contributes significantly to OLM's international business strategy and as a result for the first time product suppliers now have direct access to over 60% of the international DRTV market through one decision point."
Vector Direct, Managing Director, Martin Purcell says, "Now that Vector is part of the OLM family, we can accelerate our plans to grow in the UK market. During the acquisition process it quickly became apparent that we are all on the same page regarding our priorities and the methods by which we will succeed in achieving our goals."
Vector Versand, Managing Director, Peter Neff adds, "This is a great situation for suppliers. With OLM now in Europe, this makes testing and rollout on a large scale in the 3 largest international markets easier than ever before. In addition, via OLM's international product sourcing and distribution company - Global Infomercial Services, we can coordinate a synchronized global rollout to all the other international markets.
