Topic of Signal Strength Tops DTV Conversation

Columbia Daily Tribune | May 03, 2008

  • As I have more and more contact with Central Missouri television viewers, one thing is becoming clear: Those in the far reaches of the Columbia television market are having real issues picking up digital transmissions of some stations.
  • One recurring theme was an inability to pick up DTV signals, especially from KRCG in Jefferson City and KMOS in Sedalia because of the distance from those stations' transmitters.
  • Additionally, I'm hearing that people outside Columbia and Jefferson City are employing outside antennas - either on the roof or in the attic - to pick up DTV signals.
